One coach. One client.
Eleven years of practice.
Private training sessions at 157 Ann St in the heart of the CBD — engineered around your goal, your history and your calendar.
What this is
Furlani Fitness is a single-coach private practice. Every session is one-to-one with Isaac Furlani — no floor of juniors, no rotating trainers, no template handed to the next person through the door. The practice exists for people who want their training run the way they run their work: to a standard, against a plan, with the numbers checked.
Sessions run for 30 or 45 minutes, one to five times per week. The 30-minute format suits focused fat-loss work and people newer to structured training — dense, efficient sessions with nothing wasted. The 45-minute format carries the volume required to pursue muscle gain alongside fat loss. Most clients settle into a format early and keep it for years.
The whole practice runs on a single principle: return. Minimum effort, time and money for maximum result, performance and health. Anything that costs more than it returns is cut for something that pays better — the job is to find the disproportionate wins.
How it works
Everything begins with assessment. Your goals, training history, movement quality, posture, nutrition and baseline measurements are recorded before anything is prescribed. From that baseline comes your program; from your weekly data comes its adjustment. Form is analysed every week, and the main lifts — squat, bench and deadlift — receive their own technique assessment and correction work.
Nutrition is handled with the same discipline: a full analysis first, then a customised plan covering calories, macronutrients, timing and meal frequency, with a personalised supplement strategy where it genuinely earns its place. Programs, nutrition and measurements all live in the Furlani Fitness app, so the record travels with you.
Progress at this practice is not an impression. It is a record — reviewed monthly against the goals set at the start, and recalibrated as your body adapts.
What changes
Three outcomes, as measured.
A co-founder in financial services, mid-30s. Over twelve months he gained visible abs and the beach body he wanted — recorded by DEXA as nine kilograms of fat lost and three and a half kilograms of muscle gained, and body fat from 19.3% to 13.1%. His strength more than doubled, and his sleep, habits and blood work improved significantly.
A law-firm partner in his mid-40s. Over two years: nine kilograms down, squat from 50kg to 120kg, row from 40kg to 140kg, with meaningful improvement across his blood work.
A founder in his mid-50s. Six kilograms down, strength up substantially, and 10km runs added — with the long-standing knee and back pain that had troubled him no longer an issue.

The environment
Training takes place at a four-level performance and recovery facility in the heart of Brisbane CBD — a serious training floor with recovery amenities to match, minutes from the CBD's offices. It is an environment built for focused work, and it shows in the sessions.
The standard
Isaac has coached one-to-one for 11 years and holds a 5.0-star Google rating from 52 client reviews. The practice is deliberately small: high standards are easier to keep when every client is coached by the person whose name is on the door. Clients tend to stay — two to three years on average, several past their ninth year, one now at ten.
Already awarded Brisbane's best coach, twice: The Best Personal Trainer in Brisbane CBD (Quality Business Awards, 2025), and Best Personal Trainer (The Best Brisbane).
Questions clients ask
The questions that come up once training is underway — and the thinking behind how the practice answers them.
What is the fastest way to lose weight?
A mix of tactics — minimal effort and time invested for maximal caloric cost and maximal metabolic response. Usually that means removing the nutrients and ingredients that slow fat loss, training for metabolic response, and several biohacking techniques.
Aren't all vegetables healthy?
Not as uniformly as most people assume. Plants cannot run from being eaten, so many produce defence compounds — phytotoxins, phytoestrogens, lectins and others — that can interfere with mineral absorption or hormonal balance and add to your body's overall load. Plenty of vegetables are excellent; some popular ones are less benign than their reputation suggests. Which belong on your plate depends on you, and is worth examining rather than assuming.
How often should I use the sauna and cold plunge?
It depends entirely on what you are chasing. Recovery tools like sauna and cold exposure are exactly that — tools — and the right dose and frequency change with the goal, whether that is longevity, cognitive performance, general health or something more specific. The first question is always what outcome you are optimising for; the protocol follows from the answer.
What do you think of peptides?
Several can be genuinely useful, but usefulness is always relative to the outcome you are pursuing — that is what determines which, if any, are worth considering for you. It is a conversation to have in the context of your goals and your data, not a blanket recommendation.
How can I get rid of sugar cravings?
With almost any unwanted habit, the most useful move is to look at what came immediately before it. Were you stressed, under-slept, past due for a meal, mid-week, coming down off coffee? Those surrounding conditions usually reveal a trigger — and fixing the trigger tends to fix the craving far more reliably than willpower. From there, the right supplements, gut-health support and correcting any nutritional gaps do the rest.
Begin with a conversation.
A complimentary consultation — 30 to 40 minutes — establishes your goals, history and constraints, and settles the right format before any commitment.
